Rafael Simoes Miranda is a Brazilian designer based in Milan since 2000. He is a member of the ADI (Associazione per il Disegno Industriale) and has won some of the most prestigious design awards amongst which the Red Dot. He worked for three years at Hitachi Europe, and was in charge of the design of consumer electronic products such as Plasma TVs and DVD cameras. In earlier years has completed an internship at Zuccon International Projects, a naval architecture studio responsible for most of the designs of Ferretti Group. At the moment he collaborates with Giorgio Galli Design Lab designing watches and jewels for Timex and some of the most important brands in the fashion industry, such as Versace, Ferragamo and Valentino. He obtained his graduate diploma at Istituto Europeo di Design and concluded his master studies in Industrial Design at Scuola Politecnica di Design. Rafael also acts in a number of other different fields including furniture, interior, industrial, electronics and light design. His portfolio encompasses esteemed clients like RJZ/Cyrela, Hitachi Europe and Schuster, most of which are based in Brazil, Italy and United States.
